April 2012 doodles

Been busy with work, hardly have any time for a re-sprite.

With what ever free time I could get I use it for my portfolio work.

Im kind of secretive about my portfolio work and i wont share them just yet.

But here are some images I made for practice, to loosen up my grip and test things out.

Here is a doodle of a skull, the went a lil bit too far.

I explored the anatomy and pattern of an old panda character design I did  back then.

This was a doodle that went way over board.

I never meant it to be this "finished" or rendered 

Tried out a smooth coloring for the fairy.

I also have been looking through some euro comics for the design

and Finally here is a small Oni, i did to loosen up early in the morning.

Did some more experimental painting.

Feelin batty

Been busy with work and such, decided to create a bat character, since i saw some interesting facts.

This guy is based out of a Fox Bat found in Philippines, it's an odd bat since it relies of eyesight and smell, as well as being the biggest bat breed.

I think ill call him Sticks the bat, since he is pretty skinny for his height [6.5ft]

Dawn the Gebbit

Back in 2007 i created a character who was basically a Gecko+Rabbit Hybrid named Dawn.

Felt like bringing him back after 5 or so years.

Haven't been feeling well as of late and got some cramps on my shoulders that has been keeping me from drawing properly, among other things.

So here is a sketch of a malevolent chimera type creature (top) and a rough and possible WIP color of an old character of mine (bottom).

Alright guys, its been a good break. Resting on the holidays and all is fun ( specially with a game of skyrim ). 

But I have to get back into fixing up my portfolio big time, as well as do a couple of commissions or two.

To start of this year's post, here are a couple of Digital doodles, of a woman in a corset (Top) and a paint of a Satyr (bottom) which is a very old drawing but decided to color it.

WIP 2 Knight Monster

Very minor update, been out of the house the whole day.

WIP White Rabbit and Hipster Crow

Here is a WIP of the white rabbit (top) from Alice in wonderland, in my own version.

Making him look like a body guard for Alice hahaha.

Also here is a Hipster Croew ( bottom). 

I plan to do a line art and so simple renderings since i have been doing painted works as of late.

the tail feathers took me forever until i was ok with it LOL.

Alice and a Quick Bi-corn doodle

Quickly finished the Alice doodle i made a while ago. Might add more than just Alice. for this pic but for now here is a quickly finished version of the previous Alice pic i made

Also changed it into a sweater rather than the awkward vest apron I made.

Also i drew a bi-corn in the style of Brianne Drouhard, you should check her works out!

Marker Dragon

I was watching Amanda Kadat's (weremagnus) livestream

I missed most of it though but it got  me into drawing dragons hahaha.

I decided also to bust out my markers ( since it has been a while ) im a lil out of touch and i noticed iv lost my white pen so i cant put highlights manually haha oh well.

Floating Vampire

Floating Right-side-Up is too main stream.

I guess one of the perks of being a vampire is to float upside down.

Might be the only thing i post today, since I have been really tired.

This vampire kid is so herpy-derpy :B
